Experience Bergen from its most special and authentic side! Discover Bryggen and the Fish Market on an exciting journey starting in the city, and taking you through 2 of the 7 mountains surrounding Bergen until arriving to Øvre-Eide Farm.
The journey will continue with a walk through Bergen’s amazing scenery of mountains and water; arriving, ultimately, to Øvre-Eide Farm; where we will hear about the history of the family and the rural life in Norway.
-Bergen city guided tour-
The guide will pick you up at the port, show you Bryggen (UNESCO heritage) and tell you about the legendary Hanseatic site. Right after that, we will see the famous Fish Market and continue with the most popular attraction in Bergen: the funicular that ascends to Mount Fløyen. From its 320 meters height, you will admire the beautiful landscape of the city and the fjords from above, one of the most spectacular views in Norway.
-Hiking trough the mountains-
In the next part of the excursion, we will discover the unique nature of Norway. We will find lakes, wild rivers and breathtaking views. We will stop on the top of Mount Sandviken to eat some chocolate, for then, descending into the valley of the old mail route between Trondheim and Bergen to reach our final destination, Øvre-Eide Farm. The excursion is 8,5 km and follows a path like the one you can see on the picture to the right.
-Visiting Øvre-Eide Farm-
Øvre-Eide Farm is located in the idyllic surroundings of Lake Jordal.
The owner of the farm is also confectioner and he will lovingly prepare some typical Norwegian specialties for you. Enjoy the pleasure of listening to exciting stories about the traditional farm life in the countryside of Norway while enjoying a traditional meal!
