Trento Christmas Market
Every year, from mid-November until the 6th of January, the famous Christmas market of Trento takes place, since 2014 it is even held in two places: Piazza Fiera square and Piazza Cesare Battisti square.
From mid-November onwards, the streets of Trento are decorated with festive lights and in two places of the old town (Piazza Fiera and Piazza Cesare Battisti) the picturesque wooden huts are placed. It’s time for the Christmas market of Trento which charms with its local products.
At a stroll between the stalls you can find local handicraft, gift ideas and Christmas decoration, combined with delicacies of the Trentino and interesting events, which Trento have made known as “Christmas Town” (Città del Natale).
The Christmas market of Trento, capital of the Trentino, is not only a Christmas market characterized by handicraft, traditions and a very special atmosphere, it is also a “green market”: great importance is attached to sustainability, the negative impact on the environment is to be minimised as far as possible. Local products and paper bags with the certification Dolomiti Energia help to ensure the aim.
On the other hand, winter in Trentino is definitely a fabulous time! The first-class ski areas of the Dolomiti Superski and Skirama Adamello-Brenta circuits, a romantic Christmas atmosphere, sparkling white sceneries and a rich culture and history are found everywhere in the Medieval market town.
